THE insensitivity and ignorance of the organisers of the Cathay Pacific-Wharf Holdings International Cricket Sixes competition leaves nothing to be desired.

  A picture taken at the event's press conference that appeared on the back page of the Sports Post on July 21 shows the national flag of the Apartheid era as representative of the South African team.

  Perhaps Nelson Mandela's 27 years in prison bypassed the political comprehension of the inappropriately named Cricket World International organisation.

  I wonder if it is on the ball enough to fly the right Hong Kong flag at the 1997 event.
