Computer science graduate from the University of Science and Technology, Almon Kwan Man-leung, 22, said the term 'information superhighway' referred to the transfer of information via computer, telephone or TV.

The system's major advantage was its accessibility and its high degree of interactivity.

The student-initiated scheme, called 'Project Foresight', aims to find out the likely impact of interactive technology on people's access to entertainment in the next five years.
