DO you wish to get closer to nature, feel the beauty of our countryside and work Hong Kong's soil? If the answer is yes, then reach out for the Anthropological Survival Out-reach programme.
The 'back to nature' environment group, made up of people from all walks of life, operates on a farm in Kam Tin, Yuen Long.
Member Marco Szeto Chi-ming, an art consultant, said the society does more than just spread environmental messages. 'We give visitors a chance to develop their potential in interesting and entertaining ways, and enrich their lives by meeting people,' Mr Szeto said.
The programme has a 'music farm', a 'holiday farm' and a 'nature play yard'.
'Hong Kong is a commercial and financial centre. People don't get much contact with nature. Our group gives our guests the natural world they crave,' he added.
The music farm is a day camp where participants are taught by professionals how to bake bread and make ceramics, leather goods and baskets.
