Magical Marilyn . . . for those who want to learn about possibly the greatest icon to have come out of Hollywood, Corel has produced a CD-ROM that will tell you almost everything you would want to know about Marilyn Monroe. The CD-ROM is filled with nostalgic video-clips and old news reels from the early days and lots of photographs that can be viewed either with the program itself or separately with an application like Photoshop. The photographs and text are based on the famous German immigrant and photographer to the stars, Bruno Bernhard, who escaped from Nazi Germany and, instead of going to Brazil as he had planned, went to California and set up a studio in Hollywood in the 1940s. The CD-ROM, which also features the voice of Bernhard's daughter, shows the transformation of a young woman named Norma Jean who Bernhard discovered, photographed and helped launch on the road that took her into one of Hollywood's greatest careers.
