HKRFU to send team to COBRA 10s

THE Hong Kong Rugby Football Union has accepted an invitation to send a national team to take part in the COBRA 10s tournament to be played on September 2-3 in Kuala Lumpur.

One of the oldest 10-a-side tournaments in the world, the 16-team event will for the first time include national teams. Apart from Hong Kong, other national teams who have been approached are Japan, Korea, Germany, Holland, Taiwan, Argentina, Thailand, Singapore and Sri Lanka.

Tough competition will also come in the form of a French Barbarians styled-outfit called Froggies, the Penguins from England, the New Zealand Maoris and Australia's Southern District team from Brisbane.
