TRICON, grouping South Korea's Cho Yang, Germany's DSR-Senator and Brazil's Di Gregorio Navegacao Lida, has agreed to co-operate in trade between the United States east and Gulf coasts and also the eastern coast of South America. The lines have filed a vessel slot-sharing charter agreement with the US Federal Maritime Commission. This will help improve the present Di Gregorio service frequency and capacity with the deployment of additional Tricon vessels. The sailing scheduled will be fortnightly initially with the goal of improving to a weekly service. The lines will make use of their own agency network and marketing organisations. Di Gregorio and Tricon considered this to be the beginning of a long-term association, a DSR-Senator spokesman said.
