1,000 fake CDs seized

ACTING on complaints by the Business Software Alliance, the Chengdu Administration for Industry and Commerce and the Chengdu Trademark Services have conducted joint raids against 22 shops within two major computer markets in Chengdu, Sichuan, seizing more than 1,000 illegal CD-ROMs, 14 PCs and four hard disks loaded with pirated software.

This is believed to be the first such anti-piracy action taken in Chengdu.
