MASS residential property prices in the New Territories (N T) slipped further between mid-July and mid-August because of sluggish market sentiment.
Flat prices in Sheung Shui fell 5.4 per cent to $3,500 per square foot during the period and those in Fanling fell by 2.4 per cent to $3,025 per sq ft.
In Yuen Long, prices were down 3.1 per cent to $2,520 per sq ft. Properties in Tin Shui Wai recorded a decrease of 0.5 per cent to $2,120 per sq ft. Prices in Tuen Mun fell 0.9 per cent to $2,190 per sq ft.
Bucking the trend, prices in Kwai Chung picked up 2.4 per cent to $4,600 per sq ft.
In Tsuen Wan, residential prices declined by 1.5 per cent to $3,463 per sq ft. Those in Sham Tseng fell 1.8 per cent to $3,100 per sq ft.
Properties in Tai Po saw prices decrease by 2.8 per cent to $3,913 per sq ft. Prices in Fotan shed 3.4 per cent to $3,550 per sq ft.
