LIKE to build houses, skyscrapers and bridges? Well, come along and test your potential as an architect - and have a lot of fun - at the four-day Lego Architect Charity Carnival, which opens on Saturday at Times Square. You will also get to see stars like Kwok Chun-on, Kelvin Cheng, Cheng Pak-lam, Wayne Chan and Kelly Chen, who will be there on Saturday, from noon to 1 pm. The carnival is an educational, fun-filled event for the whole family. Funds raised will go to the Council of Early Childhood Education Services, to support welfare and educational work for Hong Kong children. One of the highlights of the carnival will be the architect competition, open to children from three to 12 years old. It will be held in three age groups - three to six, seven to nine and 10 to 12 years. The children will be asked to build a model on various themes. The grand prize winner will get a trophy made of Lego bricks, plus Lego toys. Parents are also invited to join in the fun. Another highlight will be the 'Space Port Construction'. Model-builder Anette Zappel of Denmark will guide the children in building a three-metre tall Giant Space Port model - made entirely of Lego bricks. 'Construction work' will be spread over four days.
