Reclamation so destructive

IT is only once you are on a ferry travelling from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central, that you become fully aware of the sad state of our famous Victoria Harbour.

It is an awful experience to see what has been and is being done and it makes me feel very sad by the time the ferry has reached Central.

Some people ask, 'Who cares?'.

Well, I, for one, do care.

The non-stop reclamation is not only destroying the visual beauty of the harbour, but it is undoubtedly adversely affecting marine life. I am a nature lover. I love beaches and the sea and it saddens me to see the water quality getting worse, which leads to a decrease in the number of fish.

I love marine life and I hate to see this happening.
