Party animals enjoy birthday fruits

SOME of the most devout party-goers in town assembled at Va Bene, that temple of Italian cuisine in Lan Kwai Fong, for a birthday celebration for Lynn Grebstad and Steve Foxcroft - both of indeterminate age! Since the dress code for the bash was decreed as 'your favourite food' many of the guests arrived looking as if they had just been tossed out of the nearest vegetable market.

Birthday boy Foxcroft, renowned for his flamboyant party dress sense, didn't fail to shock. He came decked out as, yes, you've guessed it - a fruit salad.
