SEVEN years after a Hong Kong diver scored the infamous 'perfect zero' at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, the territory are starting to find their feet.
Hong Kong won two diving medals at the Asia Pacific Age Group Championships in Colombo, Sri Lanka, bringing their total haul to four medals so far.
Ng Sui won a silver in the one metre springboard while Leung Kay-yin took the bronze medal in the three-metre springboard.
Alex Fong Lik-sun set a new junior national record in winning silver in the boys 200 metres backstroke, clocking 2:15.12, to beat Wilson Choy's previous mark of 2:16.31.
Fong also won a bronze in the 100 metres backstroke in a time of 1:04.47.
Hong Kong are represented by only seven athletes at the championships. The territory were originally to send a 39-strong squad but because of the current political strife in Sri Lanka, 32 of the team were prevented from travelling by their parents.
