ETON Properties is hoping an unusual and creative architectural design will stimulate buying interest at its proposed Cox's Road luxury residential development.
Unlike the typical tower block structure, the development is shaped like butterfly wings - aimed at allowing all units in the complex the best possible view.
The development is to be built on a 44,396 square foot site at 9 Cox's Road.
Eton paid $1.02 billion for the site at a public land auction in February - making it one of the most valuable sites in last financial year's land disposal programme.
With the aim of transforming the site into one of the most sought-after luxury residences in Kowloon, the development will offer most units a view over Cox's Road and the Kowloon Cricket Club.
Architect RMJM Hong Kong has been appointed project designer.
Alex Chu, director of RMJM said: 'Designs for the three residential towers are based on a simple butterfly-wing principle. The blocks spread similar to the wings of a butterfly, allowing all units to have the best possible view.' The scheme, totalling 190 units, has been divided into 180 apartments ranging in size from 700-1,200 square feet and 10 penthouses, varying between 2,000-2,400 sq ft.
