YOU babies of the 60s who never got the chance to shake it up with the Beatles are in luck as the real thing is in town next week! Well nearly. The Australian Beatles Show have been wowing critics the world-over with their uncanny vocal and visual resemblance to the fab four.
The hair, the voices, the music is virtually identical to the real McCoy - but for the right-handed McCartney look-alike. But who cares? They're performing in Gripps in Omni the Hongkong Hotel from Tuesday until September 23.
Tonight: The Warehouse project is happening a day earlier than usual. This week the cutting edge rock is supplied by Faith and Star Whores from 8.30pm. And don't forget it's in the old Aberdeen Police Station! Cafe Deco on the Peak has scored eight-piece Mexican culture band, Groupo Achai, playing tonight and daily at 8.30pm before flying out next Tuesday. They will also perform afternoon shows tomorrow and Sunday at 12.30pm.
Allen Youngblood tickles the ivories in the Jazz Club from 9.30pm.
Irish folk singer Dermot Murphy has taken up a regular slot in O'Brien's Dubliner Bar in Causeway Bay. He plays Tuesdays to Saturdays at 8.30pm.
The Bastards play the Wanch from 10pm.
