I REFER to S.M. Ng's letter headlined, 'Swimming cap rule plea' (South China Morning Post, September 4).

  I agree with the suggestion that all swimmers should be made to wear swimming caps when using public pools.

  May I suggest also, that the Urban and Regional councils should ban people from spitting in pools. Every time I go swimming I see other swimmers spitting in the pool, oblivious to others near them. This is a disgusting habit and should not be allowed.
