A Lange & Söhne - Grand Complication from Saxony

As the only watch brand from Germany presenting at the WATCHES&WONDERS exhibition, A Lange & Söhne will shine the spotlight on their most complicated wristwatch making a public debut – the GRAND COMPLICATION.

As the only watch brand from Germany presenting at the WATCHES&WONDERS exhibition, A Lange & Söhne will shine the spotlight on their most complicated wristwatch making a public debut – the GRAND COMPLICATION.  Watch enthusiasts and collectors are increasingly drawn to the technical and artisanal finesse of timepieces crafted in Germany and the GRAND COMPLICATION is an exceptional instrument that sets new benchmarks in 21st century precision watchmaking.

Limited to six pieces, the new timepiece features a host of fascinating functions which the Saxon master watchmakers have developed with their undisputed ingenuity, taking the wearer on an adventurous expedition into the cosmos of complexity. Beneath the lucidly configured enamel dial, the horological opus with the calibre designation L1902 incorporates scores of lavishly finished and most elaborate complications that take the art of haute horlogerie to the pinnacle: chiming mechanism with grand and small strike, minute repeater, split-seconds chronograph and minute counter and flying seconds as well as a perpetual calendar with moon-phase display.

Making a debut at the same time are two new limited-edition watches.  The LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR HANDWERKSKUNST unites two eponymous complications with the characteristic design of the LANGE 1 and features lavish extra decorations of the dial and movement.

The pink-gold SAXONIA AUTOMATIC OUTSIZE DATE features the legendary self-winding SAX-O-MAT calibre and the convenient ZERO-RESET function as well as the outsize date in a double aperture, a hallmark of the brand.
