Rudeness never ceases

TWO tourists newly arrived in Hong Kong on Thursday can think of plenty of other names for the territory's Wonders Never Cease tourism promotion. After asking to be taken to the Star Ferry Central three times, the reluctant taxi driver at Kai Tak thrice replied: 'Star Ferry Kowloon side?' Even a request to the Discovery Bay ferry was met with 'Star Ferry Kowloon side?'. The driver pressed on and dropped the elderly couple at the Star Ferry in Tsim Sha Tsui. Dumped in an unknown spot, disorientated and with all their luggage, the tourists eventually made their way to the Discovery Bay ferry. That will be a good story to tell when they get home.
