PHILATELISTS in the territory have rushed to buy the post office's 1994 stamp album which was released this month.
For $220, stamp enthusiasts get a 24-page hardback book containing all of last year's special issues with descriptions in English and Chinese.
Albert Li Chau-ming, controller of premium services, said the album had proved popular with local companies which were buying it as a gift for foreign clients.
'Stamps worth over $100 are included in the album, making it a quality, informative but value-for-money gift,' Mr Li said.
An interesting feature of the album is a four-page pictorial history of definitive stamps in the territory.
Written explanations of the eight stamp series in the album are enhanced with 40 colour photographs and illustrations.
The album also documents two major events the post office organised last year - the Hong Kong 1994 Stamp Exhibition and the Conference of Commonwealth Postal Administrations.
