THE Opening Learning Institute has launched its first affinity Visa card, with no annual fee required.
The card, launched in co-ordination with Wing Hang Bank, caters for the institute's 50,000 students, 800 tutors, 700 graduates and 300 full-time employees.
The institute is the first government-funded tertiary institute to put out an annual fee-free Visa card.
The City University of Hong Kong earlier this year launched their Visa and Mastercard affinity cards, with the annual fee waived for the first three years for users.
The affinity cards of the Hong Kong Baptist University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University have the first year's annual fee waived.
Similar to affinity cards at other tertiary institutes, 0.3 per cent of every dollar spent with the Visa card will be pooled for the institute's general development.
