WANDERING through the maze of hundreds of watch and clock displays at the Wan Chai Convention Centre's annual fair is to be exposed to time as you have never been before.
Renley Watch Manufacturing Company, winners of a Certificate of Merit in Quality from the Hong Kong Awards for Industry, was in here somewhere - it was just a matter of locating it.
Watches and clocks in every imaginable design are on show. There are musical watches, watches dripping with jewels, watches crafted from metal, wood or stone.
There are watches that look like VW beetles, space shuttles, guitars and robots. There is the pilot watch which comes complete with thermometer, compass, altimeter and, of course, chronometer.
The timepieces cater for the spectrum of moral codes, from watches with religious significance to 'babe watches'.
It was hard to imagine what the Renley display could come up with that would raise an eyebrow.
