Seven-year-old Angela Ng Ka-yan was wearing her white angel dress when three men snatched her from the entrance of St Paul's Catholic Primary School.

She was held prisoner for 20 hours while her wealthy family scrambled to come up with the $3 million ransom demand.

The kidnappers were found guilty after fibres from the girl's costume were discovered in their getaway car.

Law Fu-ying, 30, and Law Sing-ki, 19, appeared in the High Court yesterday to appeal against their convictions for forcibly detaining the girl with intent to procure a ransom.

In March last year, Deputy Judge Pang sentenced Law Fu-ying to six years' jail, and Law Sing-ki to five years.

A third man, Lam Siu-piu, 26, was given six years.
