Heels on wheels, glass slippers and boots having a hoot go on show at Lane Crawford, Central, this week. Part of the Cinderella's Revenge exhibition, the shoe-inspired artworks are the product of the world's wildest imaginations. Contributions from fashion designers Christian Lacroix, Vivienne Westwood and Thierry Mugler are sole to sole with shoes by artists Christo and Gianni Mantovani.

And footwear designers from Manolo Blahnik, Charles Jourdan and Travel Fox show what they can do when their shoes are no longer made for walking. Made of leather, wood, glass, marble, metal, plastic, paper and even a champagne bottle, the 250 shoes were created at the invitation of fashion designer Samuele Mazza, who previously curated a similar exhibition based on the bra. Already displayed in Milan, New York and London, the exhibition will be here from October 3-15 before moving on to Tokyo and Germany. After all, the shoe must go on!
