A LASER printer that is meant for small business has been introduced by Hewlett-Packard.
The HP LaserJet 5L, which will cost $5,228, offers 600 x 600-dots-per-inch (dpi) quality.
'HP resets the standard in personal printing with the LaserJet 5L printer,' said Bill McGlynn, general manager of the Personal LaserJet Division.
This printer replaces the LaserJet 4L and features a slimmer, vertical design. It is also the first LaserJet to feature HP's new PrintSmart, a suite of technologies for faster and easier printing for Windows users.
Improvements to HP's resolution enhancement technology result in smoother, sharper curves and greater clarity for text and graphics.
There are 26 TrueType scaleable typefaces and it gives users a low cost-per-page, and EconoMode even brings down the cost per page by another 50 per cent. It also offers excellent print quality on a variety of paper types including recycled paper.
