I REFER to the letter headlined, 'Actions justified', from Hiroko Usui (South China Morning Post, on September 18).
Because I am from a younger generation, I have not experienced the sufferings brought about by war. However, it is not hard to understand the feelings of war victims. World War II not only brought about the destruction of property and lives, the pride and dignity of many people were also hurt. However, the war ended 50 years ago The victims should be calm and objective in their judgments towards the new generation of Japanese. People should not put the blame on them as it is not their fault any more. All we should do is learn from the past and make sure we do not repeat these mistakes.
