CERTEZA can get the better of District Relative and take tonight's fifth event on the Sha Tin grass for the in-form combination of champions John Moore and Tony Cruz.

Like so many of Moore's youngsters, Certeza will be that much better later in the season but he has already shown more than enough to take this Class Three 1,600-metre event from near the bottom of the weights.

The son of Green Dancer appears to be training on well but conversely there must be a doubt or two over how much District Relative has progressed from last season.

What's more he also has to jump from barrier 14 under seven-pound claimer Richard So and he didn't look an ideal ride for an apprentice when second to Innovation on his seasonal reappearance.

He was slowly away, lacked any early zip and the brilliant South African rider, Piere Strydom, was at him for most of the trip but especially in the early stages when he was really seen to be shovelling on the coal.

It could just be that District Relative loses it early on under his claimer, even though he is blinkered for the first time.
