KEEP a close watch on Flying Cheetah who went around unwanted in the opening event last night. Flying Cheetah finished a pleasing fifth for trainer Wong Tang-ping and it is worth noting that he ran two quite fair races as a griffin, finishing fourth to River Star and Grand Way. Flying Cheetah was having his third start of the campaign, having finished last and second last at his two previous outings. He is running into fitness and last night's 60-1 quote may not be repeated the next time the three-year-old steps out, possibly over 1,400 metres. In the same race, favourite Citiluck finished fourth - and that's a measure of how good a run Flying Cheetah put in. Citiluck looks a banker bet when he is stepped up in distance to at least 1,400 metres but, even better, a mile. It is difficult to see him being beaten in Class Four on what has been seen in his two runs to date. Fat City appreciated the underfoot conditions last night and ran a fair fifth in the second event. He is coming to hand for trainer David Hill and can score in Class Four.
