OOPS! Out of the mouth of babes . . . superstar Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing was about to catch a flight to Tokyo when a young boy came up to ask to take a picture with him. The flattered Cheung naturally obliged but after the camera clicked, the young boy turned to him and asked him who he was. Cheung's sense of humour came to the rescue, however, and he laughingly said he was Aaron Kwok Fu-shing! It also looks as if Cheung will be working with Sam Hui Koon-kit in the latter's swan-song which will start filming this month. * * * IF THERE'S one thing funnyman Stephen Chiau Sing-chi (pictured) takes seriously, it is probably his health. The actor recently went to a movie and had to leave halfway through. No, the film was not that boring but the cold air-conditioning made Chiau - who had been down with a flu bug - feel unwell. He went to the hospital for a checkup, X-rays and a blood test. After some nail-biting days, Chiau finally got a clean bill of health from his doctor who suspected that his condition was probably due more to stress than any other illness. That should be good news! * * * WELL, you can have too much of a good thing after all! Singer-turned-actress Faye Wong has been complaining that she is 'too popular' and is said to be looking for a way to 'make herself less popular'. Wong has been avoiding the media like the plague recently and has retreated to Beijing for a three-month break but had to surface in Taiwan to promote her concerts there at the end of the month. Wong, who refused to comment on any personal issues, said, however, that her absence does not mean she is about to announce her retirement. * * * HE just can't win, can he? Actor Lau Ching-wan is trying to quit smoking and has stayed off the fags for the past month. Lau says he is doing it for health reasons and because his girlfriend, Amy Kwok Oi-ming, wanted him to and he hopes that he can hold out. The only problem is that since he quit, he has been putting on weight consistently. Now he's worried that future roles might require him to lose a lot of weight.
