A police officer (left) prepares to open fire on two Tibetan mastiffs that attacked and injured several people, at a residential compound in Shijiazhuang in Hebei province. More than 20 police officers and 40 security guards responded to subdue the dogs on Wednesday morning. Several gunshots were fired, according to local media. One dog was taken alive while the other died after being shot by police and beaten by security guards.
