Termites killing trees

AT the end of Po Shan Road, and alongside the path leading down to Realty Gardens, is a small wood.

Unfortunately the trees there are succumbing, one by one, to the attack of termites and a thick growth of creeper is aiding this.

Several trees have gone and only rather miserable stumps remain. Would it not be possible to eliminate the termites and clear the creeper before further tree loss occurs? It would make for a greener Hong Kong if the dead trees were replaced by saplings.
