ENGLISH ace Darryll Holland's troublesome back injury has ruled him out of tonight's Sha Tin meeting. Holland, who wrenched muscles at the base of his spine when riding Lickety Split on Wednesday night, surrendered to the inevitable yesterday and informed retaining trainer Geoff Lane that he would not be available. 'I was hopeful on Thursday that I would be fit and told Geoff so. But the early improvement from the night before did not continue and I had no choice but to pull out.' Lane has fortunately been able to snare top class riders for some of the horses entered with champion jockey Tony Cruz booked for Wind Tracker in the fourth, Mick Kinane on Shining Star in the final event and Steven King on Class Six plugger Karaoke in the third race on the card.
