A PLOT of Crown land in Fanling, withdrawn from a Government auction in January, attracted developers' bidding interest yesterday after it was re-zoned from office to residential use.
The tender for the 121,418 square foot site closed yesterday.
Sun Hung Kai Properties and Sino Land have confirmed their bids for the site.
Analysts believed that Henderson Land Development, Nan Fung Development and the Chinachem Group might also have submitted offers, but these companies were not available for comment.
The Fanling site was withdrawn at the opening price of $600 million at the January auction after it failed to tract a bids. Analysts said the site's remote location made it unsuitable for office development.
Tendering developers could choose to pay in cash or with Letter B land exchange entitlements for the site.
