THE man who painted the four famous movie stars of the 1960s in a new stamp issue is bitter that he has not been officially credited.
Wong Kum, 59, said he had fought for recognition, but the Post Office was adamant that only the designer would be credited.
Mr Wong, an art gallery owner, said the designer invited him to work on the bid for the stamp designs because he was famous for 1950s and 1960s portraits.
But only the designer, Lau Siu-hong, is credited in official Post Office releases about the stamp issue.
Despite his disappointment with the Post Office, Mr Wong feels honoured by what he has achieved.
The stamps depict drawings of two actors - top comedian Leung Sing-por and kung fu legend Bruce Lee - and two actresses - Cantonese opera star Yam Kim-fai and Mandarin actress Lin Dai.
