WHO is this boisterous politician in London trying to stir up trouble in Hong Kong? Loud-mouthed MP Denis MacShane is a member of the Labour Party so, naturally, he is entitled to have a go at Conservatives.
But it's clear that he is suggesting a massive change in the Hong Kong administration - to wit, the removal of the Governor - just to win a technical point in London.
This rather smacks of insensitivity to the six million people here who desperately want a bit of stability for a while.
It's surprising that Mr MacShane does not realise this because just three weeks ago he was in Hong Kong doing a spot of research.
And who welcomed him to the bosom of his family and fed and watered him? Yes, a certain Chris Patten.
And which two gentlemen reminisced about the period they shared as cheeky schoolboys at St Benedict's in Ealing, West London? Yes, Chris and Den.
Oh well, one can't expect much from a man who noshes heavily on the hand that, literally, fed him.
