POLICE are likely to distribute among senior commanders photographs of junior officers caught in nude and semi-naked poses in a bid to identify suspects in the fake gigolo scandal.

It is understood that police have reached a key stage in the investigation after acquiring the identities of 30 officers and will seek legal advice soon.

About 40 junior police officers have been interviewed since the revealing dossier of pictures was found last month at the Happy Valley home of a wealthy homosexual.

The man, revealed only as having the surname Lau, a merchant in his mid-40s, has been the subject of police inquiries by a disbanded unit which focused on homosexuals in influential jobs.

Police sources say a score of faces in the file have not been identified but it appeared that all the photographs show officers.

The problem is how to identify those in the remaining shots.
