A NEW Hanro shop just opened in Prince's Building, Central, provides even more stylish nightwear to tempt men to spend more time in bed. Pyjamas come in either cotton or silk and the star performer this season is a silk group.
'It has a patchwork design for the robe and picks up on one of the small designs for the collar and cuffs, and matching boxer shorts,' said brand manager Michele Tsoi.
A variety of boxer shorts is also available in woven cotton.
Besides plain, there are paisley designs and a multicoloured stripe in purple, black, mustard, green, prune and orange. The stripes can also be found in pyjamas and a large robe-style dressing gown in 100 per cent cotton with a towelling collar.
'We also have some designs which feature dice or playing cards - quite appropriate for Hong Kong - and we have an interesting design that looks like little columns with fancy ends,' Ms Tsoi said.
These come in regular pyjama sets with long trousers and button-through jackets, or boxer shorts with a matching top like a long-sleeved polo shirt, with two buttons. Completing the games theme is a chessboard check, which is presented in black and white or a dark petroleum green and white. Like the other designs, it has a plain contrasting trim.
'That comes in 100 per cent cotton but it's quite a good weight so it looks a bit like a sweatshirt,' Ms Tsoi said.
