NEW Zealander Michael Campbell enjoyed a brilliant late surge yesterday to overcome a two-stroke penalty and lead the field into the final day of the Alfred Dunhill Masters golf tournament in Jakarta.

Campbell was automatically penalised two strokes for grounding during a bunker shot at the fourth hole when his club illegally touched the sand before he hit the ball.

Campbell enjoyed a streak of birdies on the 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 16th and 18th holes to go 14 under at 202, one stroke ahead of overnighht leader Australian Craig Parry, who shot a 72.
