SHADE III, which was demonstrated at the Senco-Masslink booth at MacWorld Expo Hong Kong '95 last week, attracted quite a few visitors. According to Paul Yeung, executive director of Senco-Masslink Technology, many existing 3D programs have had difficulty handling rendering problems. But he said Shade III was so quick at rendering that good results could be achieved without an acceleration card. The package is for the Macintosh and provides modelling, photo-realistic rendering and smooth animation functions for graphic designers, animators and multimedia professionals to work with. The version demonstrated at the expo was the English version 1.1.4. The new English version 1.1.6 is expected to ship soon.
