GOLDEN hope to return to top of the First Division after they meet Eastern at Mongkok Stadium tonight. Currently three points behind leaders Instant-Dict, Golden are also looking to strengthen their squad by signing former Bosnian international goalkeeper Mustafa Pestalic. Pestalic, 32, represented the Yugoslavian national 'B' side four times and played seven times for the Bosnian international team. The 1.88-metre tall 'keeper has been playing in Portugal over the past few seasons, including a stint with Second Division side S. C. Campomaiorense where he and South China's Brazilian central defender Aurelio Da Silva played together. However, he has to sort out his contract with his present club, Second Division Lamas, before comimg to Hong Kong. Club president Simon Wan Chi-lok said he was satisfied with their current veteran Chinese 'keeper Chan Hing-wing. 'But we can play different formations if we have a foreign 'keeper,' Wan added. Golden's Bosnian striker Anto Grabo reckons Pestalic should give his side some impact. 'He is tall and other teams will find him difficult to beat,' said Grabo who played against Pestalic in Bosnia. Golden have injuries to defenders Leung Shing-kit and Tang Chi-ming. Left-winger Lee Fuk-wing will move to left-back tonight and Englishman Carlton Fairweather will replace Lee in midfield. In other news, Happy Valley's Canadian-Korean forward Jin Ri has incurred the wrath of the club. Jin went back to Canada for personal reasons and failed to return on Sunday. Team manager Paul Hong Po-kiu then discovered the player had retrieved his contract from the Hong Kong Football Association. Sing Tao defeated Frankwell 2-0 in a Hong Kong First Division match at Mongkok Stadium last night ending a string of recent defeats. Centre half Rudi Hedman scored his second goal of the season from the penalty spot in the 57th minute after Sing Tao winger Chan Tsz-kong was brought down by Frankwell defender Ng Chun-chung. Right back Pau Ka-yiu consolidated Sing Tao's lead when he headed home four minutes from time.
