THE Hong Kong Rugby Football Union's board of directors favour giving the Pan Pacific Series a go - if it gets off the ground next year, writes Alvin Sallay. Tonight's monthly Union meeting will discuss Hong Kong's involvement at the proposed Pan-Pac tournament which will feature the world's top 'second division' national teams, including World Cup participants Western Samoa, Canada and Japan. 'In principle we are extremely interested in being part of this series,' said Stuart Leckie, HKRFU chairman yesterday. Feedback from other members of the board echoed Leckie's views. 'I'm in favour of having a go at it,' said Peter Else, Union secretary. Peter Duncan (director of development), David Bruce (director of finance) and Garry Scarborough (director of laws) were all supportive of the tournament.
