JILL Triptree's readers might have imagined that as editor of Hong Kong Tatler - ego-stroking organ of the chattering classes - she would spend her spare time slurping champagne and munching caviar in the company of the territory's glitterati. Backbites can reveal Triptree is made of grittier stuff. After writing about spoiled tai-tais all day, she likes nothing better than to lace up a pair of boots for a rugged game of football with the lads. This snap of Triptree at the Hong Kong Football club last week shows the society glossie's top hack taking a well-earned breather after her efforts as the team's only woman failed to prevent a 2-3 defeat.
