A STATE-of-the-art police robot recently recruited from the United States and a new Crime Prevention Exhibition bus are going around town, broadcasting the crime prevention message. A ceremony to launch the robot and the bus was held recently at the Police Sports and Recreation Club. The new 'Robotcop' has taken over from his predecessor the job of helping the police in their civic education and anti-crime publicity campaign. The new crime prevention bus, replacing the existing 16-year-old one, is more eye-catching, bigger and better-equipped. Displays aboard the bus include domestic security messages as well as a wide range of equipment aimed at vehicle and personal security, and property marking.
