RAGING jealousy led a man to slash at the groin of his wife's ex-lover, piercing his liver and leaving him in hospital suffering blood loss, a court heard yesterday. Sung Kwong-biu's wife, Poon Sing-ping, met Lee Chi-yuen in early 1994 when they worked at the same restaurant. By August they were meeting in a Kowloon hotel for sex. Mr Lee told the District Court he had decided to end the affair in December. On January 4, Mr Lee said, he was walking down Mongkok Road when Sung stepped out of the shadows and attacked him. Sung, 47, denies wounding with intent. The trial continues today before Deputy Judge Barnes.
