ORIENT Overseas Container Line (OOCL) intends to start a service between Singapore and Australia next year in association with Pacific International Line of Singapore.

'OOCL will use Singapore as a transshipment hub, linking the new service with our worldwide network,' said Wilson Hung, managing director of OOCL (Australia).
OOCL will also upgrade its joint service with Zim Line on the Asia-Australia trade to a weekly.
OOCL has also ordered 1,900 refrigerated containers from Hyundai Precision and Industries of South Korea.
