AFFLICTED with line-up changes over the past year, local rockers Crash are back on the scene to re-start their push for international fame. The lads' soft rock sound has recently been bolstered with a new set of cracking originals. They kick off a series of shows in the Jazz Club this Thursday from about 9.30pm. Tonight: Afro-reggae band Nogabe are back in the Jazz Club playing infectious jungle rhythms from 9.30pm. The grand old man of Hong Kong live music Hooray Howard is back with his band The Henries, playing timeless rock and pop classics in the Wanch from 10pm. French Jazz pianist Christophe Lier plays the Piano Bar in the Rickshaw Club from 9pm. Lollipop features DJs playing classics from the 70s and 80s in the LA Cafe from around 11pm. Tomorrow: Cabaret act Broadway Express continue their run in Portico's. Catch them from 9pm. Elements with DJ Mickey Smith and DJ Teng Boon fusing soul, Latin and house at Judgement AD from 10pm. Atlantic Bridge combine British and American folk styles at the Wanch from 10pm. Lamma Island larrikin Long Skinny John opens the evening acoustically at 7pm. The Warehouse Project features one of the best original bands in Hong Kong, Black and Blue, who will perform alongside Zeal, Septuple and the Chamber Group of St Stephen's College playing pop at 8.30pm. Nogabe at the Jazz Club from 9.30pm. The Eh-Team play acoustic rock and blues at Carnegies at 7pm. Latin jazz duo Dan LaVelle and Tim Wilson perform at Tables 88 in Stanley from 9pm. Sunday: Jason and Aui provide a sing-a-long session at the Wanch from 9pm. Allen Youngblood and his soul band at the Jazz Club at 9.30pm. Monday: Herbie plays solo at the Wanch at 9pm, while Dave Colquhoun's new band, Alec Smart and the Hi-IQ's play rock and blues at the Jazz Club at 9pm. Tuesday: Cabaret classics with Broadway Express at Portico's from 9pm. Herbie at the Wanch plays pop-rock from 9pm with bass supremo Ricky Arenas and his band at the Jazz Club at 9.30pm. Wednesday: The Victoria Jazz Band play the Jazz Club at 9.30pm. Blue Steel at the Wanch with rock and blues classics from 9pm. Dan LaVelle at Tables 88 from 9pm. Thursday: Jason goes solo at the Wanch at 9pm. Plus: Stylo Mylo hits the Dickens Bar in the Excelsior Hotel nightly at 9pm playing rock and pop. JJ's new house band, Maximum Drive, specialise in virtually every form of modern rock and pop. They play daily from about 9.30pm. Pulse play dance-rock hits at the Hard Rock Cafe Kowloon nightly from 10.30pm. Dance band Fire and Desire hit the New China Max stage Monday to Saturday from 9pm.
