THE Queen has threatened to withdraw her Christmas message from the BBC in retaliation for its secret interview with Princess Diana. Buckingham Palace is considering switching the address to a rival broadcaster because of its fury over the interview it branded 'deceitful'. The BBC could no longer take for granted its automatic right to the broadcast which it has made since 1932, the Palace warned. Princess Diana's decision to give her first solo television interview, without consulting Prince Charles or the Queen, has outraged the royal family and is seen as a serious breach of protocol. The hour-long interview will be broadcast to an international audience of 20 million tomorrow night.
