A MAN who asked his Sheung Shui neighbours to turn down their hi-fi early yesterday was beaten and robbed. He had returned to his second-floor flat in Kam Tsin Village when seven men armed with wooden poles and batons broke down the door, dragged him to a flat on the first floor and stole his $8,500 gold necklace. The man's wife called police and officers went to the flat where they rescued the victim and arrested seven men. As the officers led the seven out of the building they were surrounded by more than 40 villagers. Extra police were called and another seven men were arrested. The 14 suspects were aged between 15 and 20.
