TWO construction workers fell to their deaths in separate accidents yesterday. The body of a 51-year-old man was discovered at the bottom of an elevator shaft at a building site in Tsz Lok Tsuen, Tsz Wan Shan, at 9 am. The site foreman said the man probably fell from the 24th floor of the building, where he had been working alone. Meanwhile, a 19-year-old worker fell to his death in Western after the bamboo scaffolding supporting him collapsed. Police said the man was working on the exterior walls of the 12th floor of the Kwan Yik Building on Des Voeux Road West at 9.40 am. A worker said he heard a scream and then saw the worker lying on the podium at the second floor of the building. He was certified dead on arrival at Queen Mary Hospital.
