Stars play for happy ending

THE concluding episode of the popular radio play White Socks' World was presented as a grand stage show recently at the Queen Elizabeth stadium.

It was organised by Ultimate 903, and the cast included Ekin Cheng playing the part of Ah Kin, Sandra Ng as YY, and Eric Kot as Ah Kot. The plot is a familiar one to those who listen to the radio regularly: Ah Kot is YY's ex-boyfriend, and Ah Kin is her best friend. By the end of the series the two best friends have become a couple.

The radio play, which has run for 28 episodes and describes courtship in a modern Hong Kong context, has had great appeal for young audiences.

The story happily wrapped up, the show moved on to music and games, with Cheng and Ng singing a string of their latest hits.

One of the highlights of the evening was a duet, 1st and 15th Day, sung by Sandra Ng and guest-singer Wyman Wong.
