IBM is heading a consortium with Ericsson and Vebacom to build a new communications network in Germany. IBM will supply the advanced ATM and integrated network management system based on its Nways product family and the IBM NetView/6000 platform, and Ericsson will supply the voice component. Vebacom's interest in the project is through its subsidiary Meganet.
