Watch out while on the job

BE CAREFUL when you're on the job, chorused a group of pop stars who appeared on the 'Occupational Safety Show', held at the Tai Po Public Playground. Organised by Radio 1 of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK1), the show aimed to make the public aware of the need for safety measures wherever one happens to be working - whether it is in a factory or among the scores of construction sites in the territory.

The stars who graced the occasion were Kelly Chen, Amanda Lee, Leo Koo, Eric Suen, Sammi Cheng, Linda Wong and Hacken Lee. They were also given the title of Occupational Safety Ambassador. Besides belting out their latest hits, the singers also helped to deliver the safety-at-work message with demonstrations and games.

The three-hour show attracted a large crowd of young pop fans and members of the public.

'We launch wide-ranging activities that are useful to the community, and this time the theme is occupational safety,' said Ng Ka-lim, deputy programme director of RTHK1.
